Surrounds - Carvoeiro
Carvoeiro is a charming coastal resort which huddles around a beautiful bay backed by dramatic cliffs. It is only a 40 minute drive from Faro International airport and only 7 miles from the cosmopolitan centre of Portimao. There are many shops and restaurants offering not only native Portuguese cuisine, but food from around the world.
A number of other beaches are within a short driving distance of the Villa and Apartment and there is plenty of opportunity for coastal cliff walks as well.
Carvoeiro is an excellent location for golf with a nine hole par three course at Vale do Milho and the Pestana Golf Resort, featuring the championship Vale da Pinta course, the Gramacho course and the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. Other beautiful courses, including, Sir Henry Cotton's masterpiece at Penina, are within a 20 minute drive.
Opportunities for horse riding, tennis, massage and gym facilities can be found in and around Carvoeiro as well as diving, and other water sports. There is an aqua park within a few minutes drive of the villa and apartment.
